Daum A beautiful acid etched, vitrified and intercalaire cameo glass vase decorated with Blackberry fruits and leaves. The leaves are showing a pleasing autumnal hue and the design is highlighted by the very finely acid etched Blackberry fruits. The glass flares out slightly to the top. Signed in cameo Daum Nancy and with the Cross of Lorraine. Excellent original condition and a fine example of Art Nouveau design . Made in France c 1898 - 1900.
At the Universal Exhibition of 1900, Daum was awarded the prestigious Grand Prix medal for its stunning intricate designs. The vitrification process and intercalaire were techniques developed and pioneered by Daum. The company used many of the most famous and skilled glass makers of the time including Jacques Gruber and Henri Berge
