Continental Marbled Agate Creamware Pottery Tankard with Pewter Cover,
Late 18th Century
The cylindrical creamware tankard is decorated with marbled slip in cream, green. brown and orange with a pewter foot rim and domed cover. The pewter tankard with engraving- S.M. Bc... The interior with cream slip over a gray body. There is a moulded thin raised band around the body at the height of the top of the handle terminal.
Dimensions: 8 inches x 4 3/4 inches x 4 1/4 inches across pewter foot x 3 1/4 inch across the mouth.
