Continental Mahogany Single Chair.
The oval back with moulded frame, a very finely carved and pierced splat within.
The upholstered seat of serpentine form studded with brass nails, with carved acanthus capitals over moulded and tapered legs.
Probably from Scandinavia or Germany, but of the English Hepplewhite school, circa 1800.
