A collection of 19th century English framed plaster reliefs depicting images from the grand Tour as well as a circular portrait of the Holy Family and one other depicting William Pitt, the Elder. These miniatures are by the sculpture/artist John Henning who was responsible for the fine plaster frieze at the Athenaeum Club together with a frieze on a screen erected at Hyde Park Gate in the 19th century. He also created plaster reliefs of the Parthenon. There are a selection of miniatures here at Mary Wise Antiques and not all have been photographed. All are framed and for sale and details will be sent on request.
The pieces illustrated are all framed.
