Hayashi Kodenji II (1859-1922)
A yūsen cloisonné enamel vase decorated with a butterfly above nadeshiko (Japanese pinks) on a midnight blue ground; the flowers worked in silver wire and white, red, green, and pale brown enamel above the border of stylized plants motifs; the butterfly in gold wire with polychrome enamel; applied with silver rims.
Signed on the base with an impressed lozenge mark of Hayashi Kodenji
