Of wide globular form with a moulded ribbed band around the body, a globular spout and a tall flared neck with a raised band around its base, decorated in underglaze blue and clobbered in shades of green and red and highlighted in gold, with an array of birds in shades of underglaze blue, including on the shoulder a phoenix and a pheasant, with further decoration on the unusual ribbed body of a crane and other birds flying amongst floral sprays, on the spout there are flowers and small flying birds, a motif which is also on the flared neck; the moulded band around the body has a green seeded ground, the band on the shoulder has been decorated with red, the raised band on the neck has been decorated with red dots on a white background, which is repeated in reverse around the foot, and on top of a hatched pattern band around the interior rim of the mouth, the base glazed and decorated in the centre with a single Artemisia leaf inside double circular lines in underglaze blue.
