Claudius Linossier was one of the most important metal artists of the Art Deco Period working in the Dinanderie technique, which involves creating hand raised copper vessels decorated with metal oxides, hammered into the ground metal then heated to create a subtle and beautiful palette of colours.
Linossier studied in the workshop of Jean Dunand, Paris, then opened his own workshop in Lyon in 1920. He exhibited at the Paris Salon and other International exhibitions.
