Claudius Linossier (1893-1953) Art Deco Period Bowl.

Dinanderie Decoration on Copper. This technique involves the hand raising of copper vessels, decorated with metal oxides hammered into the ground metal and then heated to create a palette of subtle and beautiful colours.

Linossier pieces often have a classical ofr africanist inspiration for their decoration. Claudius Linossier was one of the most important metal artists of the Art Deco Period working in the dinanderie technique.
