An early 20th Century Moroccan carpet, hand-knotted in high-grade wool - these pieces have been handwoven by the Berber peoples of the Atlas Mountains for generations, though in the 20th Century, in particular, became a staple of Modernist design, made popular by such designers as Alvar Aalto and Le Corbusier.

This striking c. 1930s example features a bold composition, with graphic motifs in rich earth tones on an ivory field framed by a wide border.

In excellent condition, still retaining its original fringes.

A charcterful accent rug, to add a sense of tribal charm to any setting.
