Circa 1900.
Decorated in famille-rose enamels with butterflies and an interlocking floral border to the rim. The reverse with four bats in iron-red and a blue patterned band to the footrim.
Bats, (bian fu) were associated with good luck, their name being homophonous with ‘fu’ (good fortune).
