Chinese porcelain Venetian glass shape vase, circa 1700, Kangxi Period. The vase modelled after a Venetian glass prototype and having a compressed globular body and tall waisted neck, with a moulded collar, beneath a flared neck. Hand painted to the body and neck, in underglaze blue, with flowering plant. The flared section with birds amongst plants, with a continuous chevron motif to the inner rim.

The body applied with twin handles, elaborately modelled as openwork branches, with leaves.

Medium: Porcelain.

Height: 20 cm, 8”.

Width: 11.2 cm, 4 3/8”.

Condition: Professional repair to two chips on the rim, and one lobe. Some typical fritting to the glaze - please see images for detail.
