Chinese porcelain jar, circa 1700, Kangxi Period. Carefully painted in underglaze blue, with two Phoenixes in flight amongst clouds; each Phoenix above a Buddhistic emblem. Painted to the neck, with a continuous chevron motif.
Height – 13.6 centimetres, 5 3/8 inches.
Diameter – 10.5 centimetres, 4 1/8 inches.
Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
