A very rare Chinese porcelain exportware base of a tulip vase based on a Dutch Delft original, the square lower section painted with panels of opposing designs of angels on a terrace and in a garden, all between horizontal sloping galleries, the upper part with narrowing neck with floral motif supported on four cabriole legs and ducks and four protruding spouts at the corners, the whole on four short feet

19cm high.

Kangxi circa 1690.

The two sections manufactured separately. Minor frits, in remarkably good condition for the type; lacking upper section.
