A large Chinese porcelain dish, Kangxi Period, c. 1700. The folite rim moulded dish painted in underglaze blue, with a central panel of two horseman, hunting hare, within a mountainous landscape. Having a broad border, painted with the eight Buddhistic symbles, alternating with lotus scroll.
The reverse with a reverential Chenghua six character mark, within a concentric circle. The border with single stemmed flowering plants.
Diameter - 28.4 cm, 11 2/8”.
Condition - Typical fritting to the glaze at the rim - please see images for detail. No restoration.
