Chinese Mandarin Rank badge or Mandarin square kesi badge of a fifth rank civil order showing a Silver pheasant .
The badge was originally from the back of a man's robe made after 1830.
the badge shows a bird perched on a rock or above a turbulent sea. the sky shows ruyi headed clouds, lotus and precious objects of the Taoist.
The kesi style or k'o-suu style is not embroidered but a woven badge as in the robes of the same style.
