Chinese Imari barber's bowl, Kangxi (1662-1722), of circular form with wide rim, decorated in underglaze cobalt blue, overglaze iron-red enamel and gilt to the central roundel with flowers including large chrysanthemum heads amongst curling foliage and flower buds, the rim decorated with foliate sprays of chrysanthemum, peony and other assorted flowers, within blue concentric circles and a band of diaper ground in iron-red with flowerheads.
