Kangxi (1662-1722).
Decorated in the centre with the Three Star Gods, Shoulao, Fuxing and Luxing, amidst pine trees accompanied by two boys, a deer and a crane in flight amongst cloud scrolls, a further crane resting in the trees, all within a fenced garden.
The rim decorated with with florettes against cellular border patterns interspersed by beribboned auspicious objects in shaped cartouches, the reverse with an artemisia leaf to the base within a double footrim.
The Three Star Gods are Daoist dignitaries who personify Good Fortune, Prosperity and Longevity.
