Chinese Export Silver Bowl of unusual design, with prunus and bird decoration. The bowl weighs 704 grams and dates from around 1885. Marked WH for Wang Hing '宏兴‘ which was the biggest silver retailer to Westerners in China between 1860's and 1940's and the most well known and influential. The firm worked with over a hundred different silver makers, including this one ‘宝生’,(BaoSheng) probably in Hong Kong.
