Chinese Export Porcelain Lotus Leaf Shaped Dish.

This Chinese Export Porcelain Lotus Leaf Shaped Dish, Circa 1765, is a fine example of Chinese Export Porcelain from the 18th century. The dish is made of porcelain and is decorated in the famille rose palette. The dish is shaped like a lotus leaf and has a rim and border in the form of nine different lotus leaf petals in shades of pink and red and with green at the base. In the design is a single flower with white petals formed in bianco sopra bianco. The exterior of the dish’s lotus leaf border is similarly painted.
The center with a circular roundel with a band of spearheads at the edge. The center with a depiction of a Chinese garden with green rockwork and flowering plants with a gold and red zig-zag fence.
