Chinese Export Porcelain Famille Rose Basketweave-ground Écuelles and Covers.
Circa 1775.
The circular Chinese Export porcelain écuelle and covers have two types of basket-weave ground with a wavy pie-crust design at the rims of the covers.
The body is painted with a cornucopia of famille rose flowers over the moulded basketweave which is repeated on the domed covers.
Each bowl has a protruding beast's head handle to each side.
Dimensions: 7 3/4 inches high x 7 inches wide across handles x 6 1/2 inch diameter.
