Probably depicting the scene from the ‘Romance of the Western Chamber’ with General Du Que relieving the monastery from bandits trying to seize the young scholar Cui Yingying.

With stylized foliate scrollwork against a pale blue ground to the rim.

The reverse with blue foliate sprays to the rim.
