Chinese blue and white ovoid jar, Kangxi period (1662 - 1722).
Decorated with four panels alternately enclosing scholars objects on a table with a jardieniere and baskets of flowers divided by stylised cellular bands with florets.
The shoulders with ruyi-shaped lappets decorated with scrolling lotus, the foot also with ruyi-shaped foliate lappets.
