About the object

The 8 inch dial with cherub spandrels, a finely matted centre and a calendar aperture in the lower ground.  The original hands of exceptional quality.  

Two-train fusee movement with the hour struck on a single bell, outside count-wheel engraved with a rose, the backplate engraved with flowers at the corners, an additional rose and the signature in the centre: Henry Jones in the Temple.  

The case of Jones standard early flat top style and with its original brass carrying handle and brass protective roses, moulded cornice and frieze panels of pierced fretwork to the front sides and back. The moulded plinth with original flat bun feet.
