I am delighted to have a second mustard to this design by Charles Ashbee for the Guild of Handicraft. This is a classic Ashbee design, the mustard set with bright green chrysoprase. A really iconic piece, a variant appears in Ashbee’s book Modern English Silver, plate 34 (lower right). It also appears in the archive of Guild of Handicraft photos held in albums at the National Art Library and reproduced in the journal The Builder 1901. The mustard is in excellent condition with replacement glass liner and a modern, 1969, Guild of Handicraft spoon.
