An extremely rare and well preserved vintage wristwatch by Cartier from Circa 1912. 

Pioneering designer Louis Cartier created a tortoise-inspired watch, the Tortue, in 1912. At a time when all watches were round, the innovative shape went on to earn the status of a design classic for Cartier. 

Platinum Tortue (Tortoise) shaped case set with diamonds. 

Silvered dial with black Roman numerals. Black minute chapter. Blued steel breguet hands. 

19-Jewel (Rubies) Chronometer movement, adjusted to 8 positions, signed European Watch and Clock Company Inc and Swiss made. 

With Cartier Box. 

Case, movement and dial signed.
