Carington Bowles.
Set of four Fox Hunting Scenes.
A scarce set of four copper plate etchings in vibrant original hand colour. This set depicts the four stages of a hunt and are offered in their original frames and glass.
They were printed for Carington Bowles and published in London circa 1775. Although unattributed these prints are almost certainly engraved by Thomas Burford (1710-1774) after the paintings by James Seymour.
