A superb quality late 19th century burr walnut Baby Sutherland Coffee Table, having beautifully figured drop flap top with attractive marquetry inlaid decoration. Raised on elegant turned end supports and cabriole legs with carved decoration and original brass castors.

These baby Sutherland tables are one of the most popular types of article we sell.

They are incredibly versatile and although they come in various different designs and grades of quality they are nearly always very elegant to look at.

Veneered in attractive burr walnut and coffee table height with both flaps raised this would make a very good sized coffee table. With the flaps down however it can be tucked out of the way taking up effectively no space whatsoever.

This particular example is also constructed from exceptional burr walnut which has beautiful figuring to it and the inlaid decoration is a nice addition.

The turned end supports are very elegant indeed and it retains its original castors to the cabriole legs.
