A Brussels Tapestry 16th Century
Hannibal and Scipio, 'The Battle of Zama'
Wool and silk
96.3/4 x 87.1/4 in. (246 x 222 cm.)
Condition: In good order considering the age, though not immediately evident there will be a few restorations. There are a few loose threads. The colours are reasonably good for the age and the detail is good. It is canvas backed and has a simple gold and brown border of a later date. A very decorative, majestic work of art.
