Circa 1865-85.
A large British Sailor's woolwork or woolie depicting a port side view of a three-masted Royal Navy Frigate flying the White Ensign on a wonderfully designed wavy, rough sea depicted in shades of blue and white. The sky still retaining its original light sky-blue. The whole framed with a band of twisted coloured wool within a large wood moulded frame.
