Very fine chef's portable brass cool box with central carrying handle to two lidded compartments, each with removable tinned copper liners, the lids marked one and two. The reservoir below appears to be for ice or iced water to keep the contents of the bowls cool, whatever that might have been, ice cream, perhaps.
Bears maker's name: Jones Bros. Down Street, Piccadilly. London 'Kitchenware manufacturers'.
English, circa 1830-1890.
