BADA 2020For sale is this rare pair of heavy Liberty & Co silver spoons attributed to Oliver Baker in their original Liberty & Co (unmarked) box. The spoons are each highlighted with a classic Liberty enamel set to the end of each spoon. The backs of the spoons are almost as interesting as the fronts with delicate wire work forming organic applied designs to the bowl and stem.
The spoons are in excellent condition with no damage or restoration to the silver or enamels. The spoons are each marked for model number 378 and appears with that model number in the Liberty Silver sketch book page 387. The spoons are dated for 1903, and are hallmarked using the Liberty quatrefoil mark only used in 1903-4.
This spoon is illustrated on page 148-9 of Simon Moore’s book “Artists spoons and related table cutlery”.
