A finely sculptured and colourful figure of a Bow porcelain Harlequin.   The figure is seated on a flamboyant rocky rococo base and he is elaborately dressed with a colourful coat painted in enamel colours depicting a selection of playing cards and lozenge shaped panels of various colours, with a yellow waistcoat, and sporting a pointed hat.

In his hand he is holding a bag-pipe and he is surrounded by a bocage of small porcelain flowers and foliage.
