A fine Regency lap-desk, veneered in rosewood, the lid profusely inlaid with fretted brass. The lid opens as a blind tooled purple velvet lined writing surface, the body of the box with three similarly tooled leather sections; a wallet for papers, a selection of writing implements, and a pen-tray and lidded inkwell.
