Blue and White porcelain - Wanli period 1573-1620.
These set of three dishes have an loaded edge and a gritty tapering foot.
They are painted with cobalt which one has fired to a dull dark blue.
Inside, in a central lobed cartouche, two deer are showing within a verdant landscape among stylised rocks and with a large pine tree in the background, surrounded by radiating lappets.
Many variants of this design existed.
