For sale is this rare Birmingham Guild of Handicraft silver photo frame, with four cabochon stones set to each corner. I believe the stones are pale green/grey translucent Connemara marble, but they be some type of agate.  The frame is made of a sheet of silver, with silver A-frame stand.  It is fully assayed and part marked for Birmingham 1904.

The design is attributed to Arthur Stansfield Dixon. A rare and authentic piece of arts and craft silver.

Maker: Birmingham Guild of Handicraft.

Designer: Arthur Stansfield Dixon (attrib).

Date : 1904.

Marks: BGofH, Birmingham, date letter “e”.

Material: Sterling silver, marble or agate stones.

Condition: Excellent, a few tiny nicks to the frames edges.

Size: 14.25 cm square.

Weight : 179 grams 6.3 oz.
