A BEAUTIFUL EARLY 16TH CENTURY ENGLISH CARVED GILDED AND POLYCHROME HAMMERBEAM ANGEL . CIRCA 1500.

THIS FINE HAMMERBEAM ANGEL RETAINS MUCH OF ITS ORIGINAL GILDING AND POLYCHROME DECORATION, ORIGINALLY FROM THE EAST ANGLIAN REGION OF ENGLAND. ORIGINALLY IT WOULD HAVE DECORATED A GRAND HAMMERBEAM END IN A VAULTED CEILING.
WONDERFUL FACIAL EXPRESSION.
