A Beautiful and Rare Early 14th Century Romanesque Carved and Polychromed Sedes Sepientiae. Circa 1320.
This wonderful throne of wisdom sculpture depicts Mary seated on a low bench wearing a crown, her raised true right hand holding an apple, the Christ child seated on her left knee with his hand raised in benediction.
