John Goode was an Oxfordshire artist hailing from Adderbury. A provincial painter of horses and dogs, he also painted 'Anthony' a Shorthorn bull which was published in the Coates Series herd book of Shorthorns. His painting of 'The Old Berkshire Hounds' was engraved in mezzotint by P.Thomas, circa 1852.
