Slight foxing, mostly evident to left margin close to plate edge.  Alfred Bentley (1879-1923) was a member of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers. He was awarded the MC for service during the first world war, the injuries he sustained during which bought about his early death in 1923. His work is in the collections of The Ashmolean, British and Victoria and Albert Museums.
