Art Deco shagreen clock.

Square green, chinoiserie moulded frame around the dial with green stained sharkskin ground, gilt chapter ring with black Roman numerals and minute divisions, the fretted hands of gilt brass. The movement is a time piece of 8 day duration.

To the reverse it bears the name WILSON SHARP LTD, EDINBURGH, who were established in Princess Street in 1897 as jewellers and silversmiths. 

Both the clock and case were probably made in France, circa 1920 - 1930.
