A beautifully stylish dark sapphire and diamond double border cluster ring.
This lovely ring is set with a mixed oval sapphire and 2 rows of tiny rose-cut diamonds in a closed back setting. It is very low set to the hand, typical of the Deco era.
We believe it has been sized down at some point and is numbered 398*** to the inside of the shank, this ring is possibly French with rubbed hallmarks. The shank is round and has deco detailing to the shoulders.
Darker sapphires were used frequently in the Art Deco era to contrast the diamonds and platinum.
