Art Deco Aquamarine Cocktail Ring circa 1935.
A stylish Art Deco aquamarine and sapphire ring.
This elegant ring has a central emerald cut aquamarine in a wide claw setting with sapphire and diamond set shoulders. The shoulders each have a central old cut diamond in a box setting with a milgrain edge and a pair of french cut sapphires in rub over setting making a 3-stone design. The diamond is slightly raised above the sapphires adding to the Art Deco feel.
The ring is typical of the Art Deco era with a bold design and sits high on the hand.
It has wide geometric solid sides and a tapered wide band - it is in wonderful condition.
This wonderful ring, would have been designed as a statement piece to be worn (and admired) on its own as a cocktail ring.
Era: Art Deco circa 1925 - 1940.
Measurements: Aquamarine estimated 9.5 carats.
The head of the ring is 2.4cm across and 1.4cm in width.
