An extremely beautiful unrecorded Diadem by Archibald Knox.

The fiery central opal is set amongst gold entrelacs of flowers and foliage enriched with superb plique-à-jour enamel.

The reverse is embossed with a butterfly motif.

Gold, plique-à-jour enamel and opal.

This is a metamorphic jewel being adjustable to both a diadem and a decorative comb.

Exhibited: “Jewellery. materials craft art” at the National Museum Zurich from 19.05.2017 – 22.10.2017.
