Turkish village rug, probably Yuntdag, ca. 1900. Beautifully proportioned, squarish rug with a field consisting of a grid of twelve squares filled with Memling guls, all set within a white-ground main border with floral motifs. The rug is made of wool on a wool foundation and has a very soft handle, the colour scheme follows a soft palette.
