A lovely baluster Antique Silver George III Pepper made by Thomas Shepherd, very popular in the second half of the 18th century, it is a typical style of the period.
The lid is pierced and covered with a simple lattice style, it is topped with a wry then finial . The main body is engraved with a crowned lion rampant. The pepper is hallmarked on the base and lid.
