A very fine antique silver George III period large milk jug made by the important silversmith Robert Sharp of London in 1799.The jug has a beautifully pannelled shape and a lovely original family crest to one side.It still retains its original gilt interior. It is one of the largest and finest eighteenth century milk jugs that I have seen and will hold about 500ml ( just under a Uk pint). Because of its size it would be perfect for sauces or as a water jug for whisky. In excellent condition throughout.
