A charming small Antique Silver George III inkstand made by Charles Hougham of London in 1764. The inkstand has a wonderful ‘Chinese Chippendale’ design that was so fashionable in the early 1760s and still retains its original bottles. There is a section for placing sealing wax between the bottles and a place to lay the pen. It is fully marked on the underneath of the inkstand (This can be pulled out if needed) and correctly hallmarked on both sides of the cage of the inkstand.
