A rare Silver George II Chamberstick made in 1751 in London by Hugh Mills. This fine chamberstick is of shaped form with bold shell borders and has a cast shaped thumbpiece. Middle eighteenth century chambersticks of shell form are quite rare (unlike their candlestick equivalents) and this is a super example of good weight and condition by an interesting maker who died in the year this was made.
