A fine antique Senneh rug woven in the early 20th Century in excellent condition. This region produced some beautiful fine rugs. They usually have a central medallion such as this rug filled with floral motifs. This small antique rug uses some lovely pale blues in the corner spandrel design, the border is particularly beautiful too.  In excellent condition the weave is fine and the pile height is medium high all over.  It has been washed by ourselves and ready for the floor.

Senneh is located in the north-west of Persia close to Bidjar, generally their designs consisted of central medallions with the repeating 'Herati' design in the main field.

We offer the service of viewing any of our carpets & rugs in-situ in London, Surrey, Hampshire & the UK by appointment.  Request a home visit, you can select multiple rugs on our website to view at home at a convenient time.
