Presented here are two gorgeous Antique Rosewood Sewing Boxes with Mother-of-Pearl inlay; it is so rare and charming to see both of these together in a pair.
These gorgeous Sewing Boxes are beautifully veneered in figured Rosewood.
These exquisite boxes feature delicate Mother-of-Pearl inlays and fine brass stringing. The box interiors are lined with green silk and contain cream & green ribboned faceted steel-pin envelope compartments. A storage tray features underneath the main storage space; these are fully fitted with turned Mother-of-Pearl spools, tape, wax, sharpener, winders, and thimbles.
These are likely to have been commissioned by a sister or mother and daughter - how beautiful!
